• The All Star break is over and this day has finally arrived. It's DeMar DeRozan's first ever NBA game in Toronto as a member of the visiting team as the San Antonio Spurs come to town. I guess we shouldn't forget about Jakob either
• Spurs aren't sure about LeMarcus Aldridge tonight who is listed as "probable" though he has an illness and Derrik White as well with a foot injury. 
• Marc Gasol will be going up against his older brother Pau in this match and Fred Van Vleet is still out for a few weeks with a thumb injury

DeMar's trade to San Antonio however, no matter how necessary it was deemed, or integral it has yet to be proven, still shook the very core of this fanbase and the team. He was the first star player to embrace Toronto and declare that he intended to be here for the long run. Nothing bu love for Deebo, but excuse if I shed a happy tear of rememberance.

Last Game Before The Break!

• Last game for the Raptors before the All Star Break! It would be nice to secure a victory going into the near week long hiatus
• They'll have to do so without Kawhi Leonard as he's sitting with a sore knee, though resting him is never a bad idea and Fred Van Vleet who's out for at least 5 weeks with a thumb injury. Thankfully the newest Raptor Jeremy Lin has officially signed his contract and is available tonight!
• The Wizards' John Wall opted to have season ending surgery on his achillies tendon and will be out for about 12 months. 
• Washington made a move at the Trade deadline aswell sending Otto Porter Jr to Chicago for Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker

• You never know what's coming these days for the Raptors as they do everything they can for a shot at the NBA finals and make an aggressive swing at the Buyout market. Today it was announced that Jeremy Lin was bought out by the Atlanta Hawks and he intends to sign with the Raptors
• Couldn't come at a better time as back up point guard Fred Van Vleet is likely out for a few weeks with a thumb injury. Though it's unlikely Lin plays tonight
• Brooklyn, who have found themselves an unlikely sixth seed in the East, will be without former Raptor DeMarre Carrol and Spencer Dunwiddie
• Congrats to D'Angelo Russell for being named to the Eastern Conference All Star team as a reserve on team Giannis

• Can't look back. All eyes forward on the ultimate prize. Raptors return to action tonight in the Mecca of North American Sports as they head to Madison Square Garden and take on the New York Knicks
• Raptors' newly acquired center Marc Gasol might make his debut tonight in New York but it's not a sure thing. The Knicks recently parted ways with their own Center sensation Kristaps Porzingis. Trading him to Dallas for Wesley Matthews, Dennis Smith JR and DeAndre Jordan. In a move that puts them with a bunch of room to play with in the upcoming free agency in the Summer of 2019
• Kawhi Leonard returns to the lineup tonight after missing Thursday's game against Atlanta with a sore foot

Big Moves! Big Changes!

• Well it's been an eventful trade deadline on Toronto's part. The biggest deal involved the Raptors trading Jonas Valanciunas, Delon Wright and CJ Miles to Memphis for Marc Gasol.
• Greg Monroe and Malachi Richardson were also shipped out to Brooklyn and Philly respectively to clear some space
• In some lighter news Danny Green has been named to the 3 point contest at the All Star Game.
• Hawks were quiet at the deadline. Miles Plumlee is still out indefinitely due to a knee but the rest of the team is relatively healthy

• After a disappointing loss on Thursday against the Bucks, the Raptors look to bounce back for an early Sunday afternoon game against the Los Angeles Clippers
• The Clippers are said to be looking to do anything it takes to acquire Kawhi Leonard this Summer when he becomes a free agent. I'm not going to speculate on that but it looks to be a very eventful off-season this 2019.
• JV is still a few games away from returning to the team, though he has been participating in full practices. Clippers will be without Danillo Galinari and Luc Mbah A Moute.
• Congrats to Kyle Lowry for being named to the Eastern Conference All Star Reserves! his 5th straight All Star selection. The Clippers' Tobias Harris has been named to the West Reserves, well deserved there as well
