• Raptors are back in action after defeating the New York Knicks on Saturday. Though it was a quiet game from Kawhi Leonard, Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka, Toronto still found a way to get the win. Their bench gave them some impressive numbers from players like Jonas Valanciunas, OG Anunoby and Delon Wright. Pascal Siakam had a phenomenal night which included 3 made 3pt shots. He is your Eastern Conference Player Of The Week
• The Pelicans lost DeMarcus Cousins in the off season to Golden State. Though they did pick up a talented big man in Julius Randle who the Lakers let walk. Jrue Holiday and Anthony "The Brow" Davis are also capable of having All-Star nights.
• Nikola Mirotic is a day-to-day decision due to a sore ankle and Elfrid Payton is likely out as well with an ankle. He's a game time decision

• It's the final game of the Preseason for the Raptors as they welcome the New Orleans Pelicans to Toronto, but don't get too excited as neither team is broadcasting the game
• Though Kyle Lowry got ejected last night and Kawhi Leonard struggled to find his shot, the team looked great on the defensive end with the team finishing with 14 blocks and 7 steals in total
• A nice moment for Montreal born Chris Boucher, as he got a rousing ovation when he subbed into the game and again when he sank two 3 pointers for the Raptors
• The Pelicans lost DeMarcus Cousins in the offseason as he signed with the Golden State Warriors, but for the most part their team looks the same with most of their offense going through All Star centre Anthony Davis.
• The Pelicans also signed former Laker Julius Randle in the offseason. Look for him to become a dominant threat for New Orleans as well

Game 64: Raptors at Pelicans!

Wait, I thought we already played DeMarcus Cousins twice this season....this isn't fair,,,,

• It's game 2 of a 5 game road swing for The Raptors and they'll have their work cut out for them. Still no Kyle Lowry and DeMarre Caroll turned his ankle Saturday against Milwaukee so he's out for tonight.
• Everyone is saying that the Raptors won the trade deadline by adding Serge Ibaka and PJ Tucker. But New Orleans acquired DeMarcus Cousins from Sacramento for Buddy Heild and a few picks. Not too shabby.
• Last time these two teams played JV and Norman Powell had big nights. Powell even got a poster dunk on Anthony Davis, you can bet that the Pelicans are going to be amped up for Toronto tonight

It's official the Raptors have lost 2nd place to the Celtics. To get it back they're going to need some big games, and get some big W's. Like tonight when we get our first glimpse of the New Orleans Pelicans

• This is the first time in a while where the Raptors play the Pelicans and Anthony Davis is actually healthy. Jonas and Bebe will definitely have their hands full guarding the big All-Star. At least this means that Alexis Ajinca might not have a big game against us.
• Easy come easy go. DeRozan came back for a game against the Magic but struggled. So it appears he'll be sitting for 2 more games. Hope he gets healthy soon and this ankle injury doesn't linger
• Pelicans will be without Tyreke Evans, former rookie of the year, looks like he'll be sitting for a night of rest instead and Quincy Pondexter is also out for New Orleans
