Game 13: Raptors at Rockets!

Would have been nice to get that W in Boston. Raptors fell to the Celtics by one point. It's not getting any easier for Toronto as they head down to the Lonestar State to face the Houston Rockets.

  • Norman Powell left the game on Sunday after colliding with Boston big man Aron Baynes. It's reported that he suffered a 'hip pointer' and may be out for the forseeable future.
  • Houston really did everything they could to build a championship team over the Summer. They traded Patrick Beverly, Sam Dekker and Lou Williams (Louuuu) to the Clippers for Chris Paul, even though he's only played one game for Houston this season so far and will miss tonights game.
  • Raptors will see a familiar face in PJ Tucker, who only played the final half of the year for the Raptors before his contract was up. He signed with Houston in the off-season. His defensive intensity is what is missed most. It's almost contagious. Maybe OG Anunoby can watch some of his tape and turn into that kind of player for the future

Herbie Hancock - "Rockit"

Herbie Hancock is a jazz pianist and virtually a legend in the field. He ventured away from jazz for the first time into a more post-modern direction with his 1983 album Future Shock. The album's big hit was "Rockit". Known most for it's music video which feature dancing, and walking automatons. It cleaned up at that year's MTV video awards where it picked up 5.

Tonight's Game Day Drink!

Mama Tried IPA

Coming from the Bazos Valley Brewing Company nestled about an hour away from Houston. Named after a Merle Haggard song, it's got an ABV of 6.6% and 55 IBUs. Described as crisp and smooth with a definitive backbone malt. It's been called one of Houston's best IPAs.

Game 53: Clippers at Raptors!

A win is a win! No matter who it's over. Raptors are back home for the last time before the All-Star Break and they look to even the series between themselves and the Los Angeles Clippers

  • Clippers played yesterday in what was Paul Pierce's final regular season stop in his former home of Boston. Wonder if the Raptors will send him off tonight as we never have to worry about him knocking us out of the playoffs in a early round again
  • It looks as though DeMar DeRozan will be playing tonight. He's missed a few games with a sprained ankle. Patrick Patterson out with a banged up knee
  • Chris Paul is done for the season as well for LA after undergoing surgery for a torn finger ligament. He's also out of the All-Star game, which is unfortunate for any player
  • FORMER RAPTOR ALERT: Alan Anderson suits up for the Clippers. He was floating around the D_League back in 2011 when the Raptors gave him a ten day contract. Liking what they saw they signed him for the rest of the year and then to a 2-year deal that expired in 2013. He has since played for Brooklyn, Washington and now the Clippers.

Game 14: Raptors at Clippers!

What a bunch of horseshit.

I'm sure anyone interested in the NBA heard about the abyssmal call to end the Kings-Raptors game in Sacramento's favour last night, so I won't go into details. Just another day in the life of a Raptors fan.

Tonight they're in Los Angeles to take on the top of the league Clippers

  • It appears the Raptors will launch a protest against the NBA after the circumstances of last night's game. Not sure what could come of it, but at least it's something
  • The Clippers as I mentioned own the best record in the NBA and sit atop the Western Conference. Tonight they'll also get Wes Johnson back who has been out with an ankle injury
  • It's another tough back-to-back for Toronto, but hopefully some of that anger can be used to secure a key road win tonight at the Staples Centre

Metallica - "Here Comes Revenge"

Not only do the Raptors have revenge on their mind which they're willing to take out on anyone in their path, but Metallica released their 10th studio album on Friday Hardwired...To Self-Distruct. So far I like what I hear...this is a fitting song from the record
